Treatment in chiropractic table took my sister's life in 6 hours.

Our Sister, Chicha, born in one day in December 1982. I remembered once, mom left for dinner with her sisters who then took my pregnant mother to the hospital because she suddently in labour. Dad was out of town, immediately he went to our home in Cimahi and continue went to Bandung.

Allya Siska Nadya or often called by nicknames Chicha was born weighing 4 kilos. She was a beautiful baby. Although expecting baby brother, it turned out to be a very pleasant having baby sister. Although sometimes we teased her too much.

Chicha is typical child of no. 4. She is very intelligent, had strong will, very polite, reserved, reluctant to bother people and she was very concered with her surroundings. Once, while sitting in second grade in primary school she came home brought 1 padangnese beef skewer and 1 piece of 'ketupat' by borrowing the money from our driver. Her habit bringing something for people at home was continued until she was an adult. Perhaps only a small souvenir but then we knew that she remembered us.

Dad moved around to several cities in Indonesia. One of the cities that finally semed to be our second home is Bali. We spent our 11 grade of high school there. Later Vida decided to leave for school in the US as we sat in grade 12. Actually I went to the States only to accompany Vida although eventually it turned our we lived in different city and very far from each other.

Upon our return from the US, I noticed my little sister had grown up. She became little girl. Our trip inspired her to travel and study abroad. It was very difficult to imagine that our spoiled little sister will be able to live independently, alone and away from our parents. Later Chicha followed our footsteps to study at QUT, Australia.

Returning from Australia, Chicha had worked in several places. Turning out her desire for travelling was unstoppable. Since she was active in AISEC, she followed the apprenticeship program in Tunisia. She was so excited, she prepared herseld by taking French language class.

Honestly, we worried about letting her go by herself to Arab countries. But it turned our that Tunisia is very modern. Chicha had an affinity with the Arabic culture. After the French language, she also built interest in the arabic culture. Then secretly, Chicha enrolled herself at a university in Amman, Jordan. However, she was not too happy thre. Negotiating with the Arabs was difficult and they often make it difficult for women. Finally,  Chicha flight back home before a year passed. While stayed there Chicha managed to bring mom for visiting Petra, Syria and all places that is now impossible to visit due to the middle east conflict that lasted until today.

As a woman, Chicha had a spirit for adventure. I often think how she eats. But she always returned home happily. So I was sure that my sister was smart. Once, she went to Toraja. The trip took 10 hours from Makassar. The trip turned out to be a memorable and the photos she took were magnificient. Sadly I never knew how talented she is until she passed away. That's my sister with her unique personalities.

This year my little sister was planning to pursue her further education. She chose Lille, France for her master degree. According to her plan, she has to arrived before 20th August 2015. As soon as she gets her visa, Chicha will set off on 18th August 2015. Since I plan to move out the country, I really want to spend time for my sister. So after returning Canberra on 2nd August, I stayed overnight at mom's to meet with dad, mom and Chicha.

One disastrous night in our life.

Chicha diagnosed since 2014 have spinal abnormalities called kyphosis. Kyphosis is a condition where the spine bends excessively. This may happend because a lot of things for example the habit of sitting in wrong position or carrying heavy items such as laptops. Scoliosis is the abnormal form the backbone of the letter 'S'. Both of these conditions made our sister often complained having pain in the upper back area. Some of his friends know her condition because she told them avout the condition in 2011. The doctor advised her to take MRI and CT-scans in preparation for surgery. I advised her to take yoga classes or do pilates. Incidentally, I owned pilates studio with Vita our third triplets sister.

Because of her busy schedule she could not do things I suggested. August 6, 2015, mom sent a text message reminding us to gathered on the week end before Chicha's departure. We were sad but we know 'traveling and learning ' is the heart calls for Chicha. As long as Chicha is happy, we are happy. We agreed to get to gather on that week end.

While I was sleeping, all of a sudden my cell phone rang, I saw my sister's name Vida listed there. " Yes Vid?" "Vir, Chicha is now in Pondok Indah Hospital, she is having backache until she went unconscious. Now the doctor will put a ventilator on her," Vida sounded sad. "Huh!!! What happened? Have you call Vita?" I said. I had my sister name on my mind because Vita is a pilates instructor, she studied anatomy and muscle. She certainly could give her simple treatment especially if it's only small injury. "She went to chiropractic at Pondok Indah Mall this afternoon, all the sudden she is in so much pain."Vida explained. "Vita could not be reached, can you come here?" Vida asked. Confused with the situation, my husband was away and I only had just one person helping me at home. The current time was 2.56 o'clock in the morning.  Finally I sent my helper went through the night to knocked the door at my sister's.

After dropping off the kids at mom's house, I immediately rushed to hospital. Once there, I saw Chicha lying unconsciously her pulse stands at 70-40, her right back over was swelling. I was panic, I called her name. There were two doctors were watching over her. I looked for mom, I know mom would be really sad if something bad happens to my sister. Mom is sitting in the corner of the room, her face was worried. Meanwhile dad was busy talking with the doctor and the nurse. The diagnosis was a broken minor blood vessels.

Within half an hour I saw Vita reported that Chicha was conscious. But because there was a tendency for Chicha thrashing and releasing the life support around her then the doctor decided to provide an additional sedative. We were a little relieved and optimistic at that time. I was very ancious I approached her, hoping she is fine and her plan is still running.

Chicha suddenly opened her eyes, she vomitted the repiratory aids in her mouth."Are you in so much pain Cha?" I asked."Yes," Shed replied softly. "Do you want bend over?" I asked again. "Yes," Suddenly she grimaced back, her eyes look like she is in so much pain, her lips pale and her hands were cold. I tried to calm her with hypnotherapy, so she can rest and the pain eased.

When I say,"Cha, imagine a beautiful place, where Chica is very very happy, breath and let go. I saw her eyes were like seeing something and then her pulse turned flat. Doctors and murses immediately run to her bed. Doctor pumping her heart for half an hour. Mom seemed to give up,"Please guided her Vir," Mom asked me in tears.

You left too soon and too young Cha. Her death leaves many questions. Even our family can not ansere them because we were confused what exactly happened to Chicha that end her life tragically. The Police have investigating this case since August, not long after Chicha's gone. But we know on Thursday Chicah went to see a chiropractic named Dr Randall Cafferty practicing in Chiropractiv First, Pondok Indah twice,  at 1 pm and 7 pm in the evening. Then later on the same day, our father were woken up by her who started a tremendous pain in her back.
